What is Tau Beta Sigma?
Tau Beta Sigma is national honorary co-ed band service sorority that operates primarily to develop leadership and enthusiasm through service to the band. We organize a variety of service projects for both the community and the GT band programs.
Feel free to explore our website to get a feel of who we are and what we do! You can find information about our types of service events under the Service page and information on our background both as a national organization and at Tech on the History page.

FAQs
How is Tau Beta Sigma different from Kappa Kappa Psi?
Within TBS, while we are a co-ed organization, we place more emphasis on uplifting women in music. We are able to do through through some of our programs like Focus on Five and the Women in Music speaker series. Both of these are focused on highlighting women’s experience in the music world. Our service also supports getting young women not only getting, but staying, involved in music.
However, our two organizations are very lucky to work close together with a lot of projects both on and off campus, so choosing one is not “un-choosing” the other.
What is the expected time commitment as a CANDIDATE?
As a candidate, you would need to be at weekly MECs, which serve as an education class for you to learn about the sorority. All other events aren’t required but highly encouraged.

As a sister, you would need to be at Chapter five times during the semester and at least one event per week (about 1-2 hours).
